EvoDiff is a general-purpose diffusion framework developed by Microsoft for controllable protein generation in sequence space. It combines evolutionary-scale data with discrete diffusion models to produce high-fidelity, diverse, and structurally-plausible proteins. A key differentiator is its ability to generate proteins inaccessible to structure-based models, such as those with intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs), while also designing scaffolds for functional structural motifs.
