Dreams by Snapchat is an innovative AI tool designed to generate diverse and imaginative selfies, allowing users to transform their appearance into various digital personas. Leveraging recent advancements in AI, this feature enables Snapchatters to create fantastical images, such as becoming a mermaid in a deep-seascape or a renaissance era royal. Users can start by using their own face to create up to eight generated AI selfies, with the option to include friends who have also opted in. The feature is accessible via a new tab in Memories, where users can create a personalized Generative AI model with a few selfies. The first eight Dreams are complimentary, with additional creations available through in-app purchases. It is initially rolling out in Australia and New Zealand, with global availability planned for the coming weeks.
