GeoChat is an open-source, grounded Large Vision Language Model (LVLM) specifically designed for Remote Sensing (RS) applications. Unlike general-domain models, GeoChat is tailored to handle high-resolution RS imagery and employs region-level reasoning for detailed scene interpretation. It leverages a newly created RS multimodal dataset and is fine-tuned using the LLaVA-1.5 architecture, resulting in robust zero-shot performance across various RS tasks.
