HealthGPT is an advanced medical Large Vision-Language Model (LVLM) developed by ZJU4HealthCare, designed to integrate both medical visual comprehension and generation capabilities within a unified framework. It leverages a heterogeneous low-rank adaptation (H-LoRA) and a three-stage learning strategy to efficiently process visual comprehension and generation instructions. The model supports a wide array of medical tasks, including 7 types of comprehension tasks and 5 types of generation tasks, outperforming other unified visual and medical-specific models. HealthGPT is available in two configurations, HealthGPT-M3 and HealthGPT-L14, optimized for different performance and resource requirements. It also includes an interactive Gradio-based UI for easy inference, supporting text and image input to return either text or images.
