What is the difference between XRechnung and ZUGFeRD?

XRechnung is a pure XML format for machine processing, mandatory for invoices to public authorities. ZUGFeRD is a hybrid format, combining a human-readable PDF with an embedded XML file, suitable for B2B transactions. Both comply with EN 16931.

Are my data secure and DSGVO-compliant with Rechnex?

Yes, Rechnex is fully DSGVO-compliant. All data is processed on German servers in Frankfurt and automatically deleted after conversion. No invoice content is stored, and no data is shared with third parties, ensuring secure and private handling.

Do I need to send e-invoices as a small business?

Since January 1, 2025, all businesses must be able to receive e-invoices. Sending becomes mandatory in stages: from 2027 for businesses with over 800,000 EUR turnover, and for all by 2028. Small businesses should prepare now.

How does the PDF to XRechnung conversion work?
